Description
Have seen this umbrella tree grow for several years now. In its current pot, its tallest point is about 64"-65 inches. It has become too large for the space I have for it. Its branches could also spread out more, if you have room for that. I have gently tied its spreading branches to supports, using plant string, for a more upright growth. This one likes top soil to dry a bit before fully watering again. I have a covered south-facing balcony. This plant has thrived being near the window where it receives plenty of bright, indirect light. It does receive some direct light during summer months. I have also moved it to spots a little back from the window, where it still gets the light, and it did well. It is still producing new leaf clusters. As these colder months take over it often thins out, dropping leaf clusters during its dormant months, much like outdoor trees. During its growing months it fills out again with more leaf clusters and new branches.
