CAMPBELLSVILLE CHERRY 3 DRAWER DRESSER MADE OF WALNUT

This is the Holy Grail of furniture. This is a handmade dresser made of walnut by Campbellsville Cherry Co in Campbellsville Ky. They have been in business for 60+ years and are still going strong. This piece is a rare 3 drawer dresser. They normally made the 4 drawer but tried something new 50 years ago. Not very many of these around. The dimensions are 45" wide 20" deep 35" high. The piece you have was made by the earlier McMahan Furniture. In the beginning Eugene's Grandfather started the business. He had 8 sons & they all worked in the business in the 1940s. Eugene worked with them from a very young age until he started his own shop 50 yrs ago. The older shop closed in the 1990s. The chest is of walnut & normally the chest had 4 drawers but Eugene said they did make the piece like yours - just not as frequently as the 4 drawer & 5 drawer chest.
