Description
Hidden Treasures on the Brick Road 10003 270th St NW, Stanwood, WA 98292 Open: Fridays 1pm - 4pm & Saturdays 1pm - 6pm Length (inches): 4.00 Width (inches): 3.50 Height (inches): 5.50 A handsome small lidded creamer by Reed & Barton, model 0230. The classic bulbous body, hinged domed lid with finial, and short spout give it that Colonial-Revival tavern look. It shows an honest aged pewter patina with interior wear, perfect for display on a coffee bar, shelf styling, or as a prop. Because the alloy/finish and age are unknown and there is visible interior wear, I recommend it for decorative use only. Materials: Pewter/Britannia metal (unmarked alloy), hinged lid, cast handle Style: Colonial Revival / Traditional; tavern & farmhouse décor Theme: Americana, hearth & table, hotelware/barware prop Age: Vintage, likely mid-20th century (c. 1930s–1950s) Brand / Maker: Reed & Barton, stamped underside “REED & BARTON 0230” Country of Origin: USA (Taunton, Massachusetts) Size: approx. 5.5 in tall x 4 in wide (to outer handle/spout) Condition: Good vintage condition with age-consistent wear: scattered surface marks and pitting, interior scratches and tarnish, small nicks, and finish wear; hinge sound and lid opens/closes properly. Cleaned but left with original patina. Food Safe: Not recommended for food or drink use due to age, unknown pewter composition, and interior wear, best for display/prop/collecting.
