Gorgeous Vintage Chinese black lacquer wood "Hope" Chest, accented w/ brass & inlaid Figures / designs, made from Mother of Pearl & other fine materials ● BEAUTIFUL inlaid carvings make this a real treasure ● Authentic Chinese work of art, received as gift directly from Hong Kong ● Tag No. 71-14933 ● George Zee began his furniture line in 1940's ... rare to find these carved pieces in this size ● Intricate INLAID carving, real wood, beautiful effects ● Top shelf: adjustable & removable ● Includes George Zee tag w/ serial # on inside ● Sits even on the floor, is very sturdy ● Only opened a handful of times in 45 years of ownership ● Inlaid Mother of Pearl art designs are on each end, the top & the front - all in EXCELLENT CONDITION ● Cedar scent ● Used for a while as a coffee table w/ glass over the top (the cushion pieces are still on the top if you wish to do same) ● All original, no repairs ● There are some scratches & marks on the top black lacquer area (not the inlaid design), you could repair it if you choose to do so - see photos ● Interior: MINT Condition.
