Trades considered I have finally finished my favorite build to date. It has taken me around 30 hours to complete. I started with a sycamore Tele body and cut out most of the wood to create a chambered body. I added an African mahogany back and an Engelmann spruce top that I bought from StewMac. I dressed all of that up by adding herringbone and white binding around the top and back as well as a herringbone/rosewood/herringbone center stripe top and back. (This was where most of my time was spent) I stained the top with an amber shellac and the back with shellac and mahogany stain. The sides are gloss black. I went with a road worn look on the top, but elected to keep the back pretty clean because it looks so good (in my opinion) Electronics are Authentic Fender Pure Vintage , and the wire harness I wired myself using vintage style push back coated wiring. All wells are lined with copper shielding tape and connected by a small wire to join them. I did purchase the neck as I do not have the tools for that. I will also include a Fender Waterslide Decal if you prefer to remove my vinyl logo on the headstock
