Description
Crafted in & came from Australia made by Aborigines. This was a gift and has barely been played! Lovely low note (B) - 85 cm long. ABOUT THIS DIDGERIDOO: This ironbark didgeridoo is made from a native Australian Eucalyptus tree that has been hollowed by a termite and then worked on by the makers to turn it into an instrument. Once cut, the tree or sapling has been allowed to dry, to help minimise and prevent the likelihood of cracks and splits later on. The next process involves stripping the bark and in the case of this didgeridoo, leaving a small amount on the bottom as a decorative feature. It is then further worked both internally and externally to enhance the sound and finally followed by a thick gloss layer to protect and seal the timber and highlight its natural beauty. The mouthpiece diameter is kept between 20-70mm and then fitted with a pliable beeswax mouthpiece. The beeswax provides the player with a comfortable seal and is also adjustable to different sizes to suit each individual player. Having a flared end or bell end gives this instrument both volume and an amplified sound.
