Lionel Train Lot – Includes 6-31938 and More – All or Nothing – $100 OBO I am selling a large Lionel train lot, with the most notable item being set 6-31938 Southern Diesel Freight. That one was mine as a kid, and I probably pulled it out once a year when my dad helped me set it up. It was always too big and heavy for me to manage alone, so it mostly stayed in storage. The older pieces belonged to my dad, who is 63 now, so those date all the way back to his own childhood in the 1960s. Now my parents are moving and downsizing, which means a lot of the old kids’ stuff from their storage room has to find a new home. As you can see in the photos, this lot is currently taking up a lot of space on the floor of my girlfriend and I’s apartment, and it really needs to go. I already called a few local train stores (Trains & Lanes Hobbies, Henning’s Trains, and Nicholas Smith Trains and Toys). None of them are buying right now, which I assume has more to do with the economy than the items themselves. Harry Henning mentioned they might be open to buying in October, but I’d rather try my luck here. I don’t want to risk waiting only to have them potentially take just part of the collection. Because of that, I will only sell this as a full lot. The whole lot goes or nothing. I am asking $100, but I will entertain any reasonable offer.
