Angela Tripi Biblical Woman Figurine Vintage On Woodbase

Angela trip I figurine of a biblical woman.. Virgin Mary, mary Magdalene, or another biblical woman. Approx 8 inches tall. Flaws scratched on wood base. Tiny little chips here and there perhaps even one on the tip of her nose. There is a handwritten note on the bottom dated 5/11/94. She appears dirty but that is just how she was painted to present as peasants on the Bible. I however did over clean the back of her hands removing the paint that was to represent dirt. My Joe caught before I scrubbed more of the artistry off..explaing she is mary Magdalene washing Jesus's feet her hands are suppose to be dirty. I felt incredibly bad undoing the artists work. Honestly I love her more that I now see her as mary magadlene because I have never seen Magdalene represented as a figurine and well I truly believe there is so much more to mary Magdalene's story then we have been told.
