Vintage, Solid Mahogony Corner Chair by Hickory Chair Co. - Beautiful Condition

This vintage, solid mahogany (no veneer) corner chair was manufactured by Hickory Chair Company and is in excellent condition. Hickory Chair has been revered as a premium furniture maker since it opened its doors in 1911. This piece was designed to celebrate the early Chippendale style, veering more to the simpler side with straight legs and elegant sculptural elements - like the lyre-fashioned backs and tapered arm supports - but with minimal carving or opulent detail. These armchairs were made to fit snugly into a corner. While you'll note few minor blemishes in the photos, the overall quality and luster of the finish dominates, and the upholstery still looks great, even with a few light spots of wear - no stains.
