Japanese Clay Pot (Dutch Oven)

This is a Ginpo Hana Mishima Donabe (Japanese clay pot). It is a traditional earthenware pot used for preparing and serving hot pot dishes, soups, and stews. - can be used as a Dutch oven! The clay used in these pots provides excellent heat retention and slowly radiates heat into the food. The "Mishima" pattern, featuring majestic flower designs, is a representative and long-running design from the Ginpo brand since the 1970s. These pots are known for their durability and functionality and can be used on gas ranges or portable stoves. My grandfather got this in Japan being in the military. It was never used!
