Vintage classic acoustic guitar. There is not much about rex.vintahe guitars.. Most Rex guitars are dated from 1925 to 1933. The woodwork was mostly done overseas and then shipped to USA for final assembly. - Rex models were Kay-built. They were distributed by the Fred Gretsch Manufacturing Company until 1933, At that time I think the name Rex was discontinued. - It appears that the name "Rex" alone was used when they first were built, Over time additional words were added to the head such as; REX Lancer, REX Atagon, REX Royal and REX Playboy. This one is a rex royal. The tuner on this guitar is a strip tuner made by the Kluson Manufacturing Company. They were originally based in Chicago, opening up in 1925. This tuner has a Pat. # inside the guitar. Well used vintage & still plays quite well. Some wear for over 90+ urs old. Will need new strings. All original. See flaws in pics.
