The HD home run takes your cable signal, transmits it over your local network and allows you to watch TV from any computer (via a compatible application) within your home. This version of the HD home run has three tuners which allows you to record three shows at once. This device requires the M- Card (also known as a cable card) from your cable television provider. The cable card is required so the cable signal can be decrypted and accessed. This version of the HD Homerun may only be compatible with television standard : ATSC 2.0 Yes, you will actually need cable television in order for this thing to work. This will not work with over the OTA (over the air) TV. Likely not compatible with 4K video channels, inputs or streams. Please do your research before buying this item. No trades.
