Was used as a desk chair, but could also work well on a patio, in a garden, or as part of an eclectic dining room set. Well maintained, the chair is like new. It is sturdy, perhaps around ten pounds. Fashioning this kind of weld is difficult, and we relied on a team of highly skilled craftsmen who specialize in a kind of wire weaving that's been passed along from generation to generation. Entirely handcrafted, each chair is made in three stages—frame construction, wire patterning and final welding—by expert metalsmiths. Once finished, the chair is given a light acid wash bath yielding a grey iron patina and subtle brass weld marks. The perfectly proportioned leather cushion adds soft cushioning and a natural counterpoint to Tig's intricately welded design.
