Description
Selling aquaponics system with 1-3 media/deep water culture(DWC) beds with 14 square feet of growing area per bed. These kits come with tank for fish, pump and all plumbing. Beds for media come with bell siphon DWC beds come with stand pipe, air pump and hoses and raft. Media beds are great for fruiting plants like tomatoes, peppers, or even herbs and spices. DWC are great for lettuces, cabbage or your own spring mix. Can add wood cladding on tanks for an additional cost. Can also build custom systems using wood and a LDPE liner. Can build larger home systems if needed. Systems will come with a detailed chart on how to cycle your fish tank and a freshwater testing kit to test ammonia, pH, nitrite and nitrate levels. Media beds do not include media. You can use clay pebbles, 3/4 inch river rock (without limestone) and lava rock. The system in the picture has a 150 gallon tank, 1 14 square ft media bed with 1 pump and two built in heaters into the bed and the tank. I grew spinach, lettuce, cabbage, jalapeños, Swiss chard, green onions, cucumbers, strawberries. The second system pictured is made out of lumber and uses an IBC tote wrapped in lumber. The media bed and sump tank both have an LDPE liner, which if properly taken care of should last over 5 years. The lumber is painted with a water based paint. This system only has one media bed which has clay pebbles in it. It can also be built with more media beds. If you want a larger system just message me and we can discuss it in more details. If you want to start out and add another media bed/dwc or more, both systems are great to start out with. For questions or even suggestion just message me and I’ll do my best to respond quickly. This system is great with tilapia or even works well with ornamental fish like koi or goldfish. I raised tilapia because I was interested in harvesting the fish when they were large enough. It’s reassuring to know that the fish you harvest have been well taken care of. Message for pricing. Thank you.
