Liv Alight By Giant Bikes XS Women’s Bike ( please read the full description )

Alright condition actually just bought it yesterday from someone off facebook (3/7/26). And thought it was in rideable condition ( due to the listing saying “ recently serviced “ and like a silly i didn’t do my due diligence like usually when getting a used bike locally). Got it for my girlfriend since she’s been wanting to go for bike rides for me. So that was a failed attempt. Just trying to get my money back due to The bike shop I went to this morning (3/8) Told me it’d be roughly 200-300 to get it back to riding condition ( for parts / labor). But don’t have the money to spare or else I would have done it. Here’s what I know what’s wrong with it from checking it out before I went to the bike shop this morning: Both brakes need to be fixed - the rear brake works but not properly. When you use it gets stuck instead of disengaging after you let go of the lever and you have to pull it apart from the rim. The front brake - the cable is loose and I couldn’t get it to tighten to see what’s going on with it. So nothing else to mention unfortunately. The front shifter for the front derailleur - is either broken or seized. The rear shifter for the rear derailleur - Unlike the front derailleur shifter it actually moves up and down the gears. But that’s all it does. The rear derailleur is broken or seized ( also not sure what’s going on with tje front derailleur) but it doesn’t move when you’re going either direction with the shifter. Also is in need of a new chain due to the current one not having too much slack and not properly holding tension. Both wheels seem to be in true - same seem only because the rear looks like it might be slightly out of true of it’s just the tire because I haven’t inspected the new tubes I’m waiting to arrive ( so could go either way I suppose. Trying to be as detailed as possible and honest so it’s not a repeated cycle like what I ended up having have happen). Think that should be all the information that might be needed and asked. Usually I’d say offers welcome but In this instance since I’m hoping to recoup my funds. I’m not looking for offers for once. But maybe you have the time and or money to get it working again. Also it’s an XS as seen in the last pic and my girlfriend is 5’3” and it was a perfect fit when she sat on the seat with it slammed but obviously she wasn’t riding it so there’s that. She just sat on it in the kitchen. But it has a quick release seat post clamp for easy adjustment.
