1930s 54" handwoven Storage Basket

Description Vintage condition with age-related wear, color variation, and natural weave irregularities. The original lid is missing, and the basket no longer has its handles. Please review photos closely for condition. Impressive oversized handwoven floor basket measuring approximately 54 inches tall. Features tightly coiled natural-fiber construction with tan and golden-brown geometric accents. The large cylindrical form works well as a decorative statement piece, blanket or textile holder, dried-floral container, prop, or retail display. The exact age, maker, and country of origin are unknown. The weaving and form appear consistent with African-style palm or raffia basketry, but no specific regional attribution is guaranteed.
