EXTREMELY RARE Historical Antiquity Catholic Reliquary Pendant/Medallion This medallion is double sided. The front features Jesus Christ crucified. *Unfortunately, there is damage, in several places on this side…specifically His head, mouth and left shoulder. I’m not sure when the damage happened(or even how). The back features a small window, in the center, displaying a sample of soil gathered during a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, Jerusalem The writing around the small window, on the back, is in Latin, which translates to(when read Top to Bottom): “Most Holy Earth Jerusalem in the Holy grave sacred and given from the most pious to men” & The back is engraved with “133 Germany”. This is an ornate and rare piece of history $1,000 OBO
