TP-Link powerline network adapter pair

Pair of TP-Link AV500 powerline network adapters use building electrical wiring to extend a home network without running ethernet cable. Each adapter has one ethernet port, one must be connected to the source router or switch and the other to a device. TP-Link provides software for securely pairing the adapters; setting up encryption between devices is easy and also quite important to avoid leaking your network activity. This is an easy solution for expanding a network but there are many factors that can influence how well it works. I achieved decent speeds but the reliability of the network suffered from signal noise when certain devices were running. Pickup is in Shalersville near the intersection of Rt 44 and 80 (turnpike).
