Description

Overview: Up for sale is an absolutely amazing abstract expressionist oil painting on stretched canvas. The painting depicts a nocturnal marina scene. It is signed "Jim Conlin" at lower right and dated (1969) and titled, "Moonlight Mooring" on verso. It's an incredible example of cubism fused with abstract expressionism. I love the deconstructed glimpses of sales, boats, the water and the gleaming moon. It is framed in a lovely, carved two-toned wood frame. Condition: Painting and frame are in excellent condition. Very minor staining at upper right of painting. Measurements: Painting measures approximately 16 inches high x 12 inches wide. Frame measures approximately 24.5 inches high x 20.5 inches wide.
