This 1992 Cremona SV-800 violin (4/4) has aged beautifully and possesses a tremendous dynamic range. SV-800s are a viable instrument for the professional and a welcome treat for the student, particularly those performing or considering conservatory. This violin has been cared for throughout its life and recently received a complete professional setup. It plays like a dream — fit for the professional artist but priced for the energetic student. This outfit comes complete with a brand new carbon fiber bow, an American-made SKB hardshell case (pictured), and care products. The close-grain spruce top glows under an amber finish. Solid flamed maple used for the back, sides, and neck are as eye-catching as they are resonant. Cremona promised a warm and full tone from the factory and it has only grown more beautiful with age. Top of the Cremona line, the SV-800 features select, aged woods throughout. Constructed with very little restrictive property on the top, the spruce vibrates freely and generates a rich and satisfying timbre. Rich overtones are supplied by the flamed maple back and sides. The fingerboard is genuine ebony and the Hill-style trimmings are of the finest boxwood with black pips and collars. Shoulder rest not included.
