Mexico Coin 1 oz. Silver La Libertad 99.9% Pure Silver . The reverse features Victoria, the winged Angel of Independence. Her statue was erected in the capital in 1910, the centennial of Mexico’s bid for freedom from Spain’s colonial rule. Behind her are two volcanoes from Aztec legend: Iztaccihuatl (known for its sleeping woman profile) and Popocatepetl (the warrior who fell in love with her). The obverse depicts Mexico’s national emblem, the golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake. It is surrounded by 10 other symbolic eagle designs used since 1810. 60.00 each
