Loquat Tree Plant 🪴 – Potted Seedling, Grown From Healthy Fruiting Tree

Healthy young loquat tree in a pot, grown from our mature backyard tree, which produces lots of sweet fruit every spring (see photo). About loquats: Evergreen fruit tree that thrives in Southern California Sweet, tangy orange fruit in spring Fruit is high in vitamin A, fiber, and potassium Can be pruned to stay around 10 ft, or grows to 20–30 ft if left unpruned Growing tips: Plant in full sun with good drainage. It tolerates most soil types. Dig a hole wider than the root ball, mix in compost, and keep the root crown level with the ground. Mulch around the base, leaving about a foot of space from the trunk. Water every other day for the first 4 weeks, then only during dry spells and fruiting season. Fertilize every few months the first year, then every 4–6 months after that. Keep grass and weed trimmers away from the trunk, and stake young trees in windy spots. Thin the fruit clusters when they're pea-sized for bigger, better fruit. Pickup in Hacienda Heights.
