Description

Professionally restored with lacquer. Pictures #8-10 in my listing demonstrate the value of these pieces. They are selling for a ton plus you have to pay shipping, tax, and hope it doesn’t get damaged on the way. Cast iron. GRISWOLD #3 “Erie” 709A cast iron 6.5” skillet. Steel ash shovel, unbranded, restored, gorgeous patina. I am offering these at a STEAL. You won’t find an item in this great of a restored condition as these. I Googled Image search the internet and could only find a few. Here are the AI descriptions: AI Overview from search: 1). This is a vintage Griswold #3 cast iron skillet with a large block logo and the pattern number 709A. Manufactured in Erie, Pennsylvania, USA. Griswold cast iron items are highly sought after by collectors due to their high quality. The skillets were known for being thin, light, and having a very smooth cooking surface. Items with this specific logo were likely produced between the 1920s and 1940s. 2). This is a black powder-coated steel ash shovel. Made of durable steel construction for longevity. Used to remove ashes from fireplaces, wood stoves, or fire pits, or to load pellets for fuel. Features a handle with a hole for easy hanging storage. The shape and high sidewalls help prevent spillage during cleaning. My Dad was an antique enthusiast who often restored pieces which may/may not lower their value. He understood patina was important but he would rather beautify his pieces. He had these as display pieces in his mobile in Castle Rock Lake, WI. Great historical Americana and American made. I have a few other restored antique pieces on this site for sale too. Maybe we can make a bundle deal? I do the exchanges at Traverso’s Restaurant parking lot, 2523 Plainfield-Naperville Rd., in Naperville for CASH ONLY. I may not answer your request immediately as I am not allowed to be online at work. To be fair to the buyers, I will sell on a “first ask, first serve” basis. Thank you so much for looking!
