Vintage Danish Modern Rosewood Desk by Dyrlund

Fully restored rosewood executive desk by Henning Jensen & Torben Valeur for Dyrlund, made in Denmark c. 1960s. This piece had a single owner since its original purchase. The finished back side has a recessed cubby space for displaying books or pictures, making it a perfect centerpiece for a home office or studio space. The sled leg base features exposed finger joints, also seen in the charmingly distinctive drawer pulls. The base gives you the sense the desk is floating, no small feat for a piece of this size. The thoughtfully coved edge at the back prevents your pens and pencils from rolling off the top, and the absence of a skirt/apron makes it compatible with most desk chairs. The file drawer on the right hand side features an adjustable side, making it compatible for file folders of various sizes. Beautiful, practical, and refinished to perfection. File drawer has a lock, but the key is lost to history.
