Description

Excellent Condition! No chips, cracks, stains or repairs! There is 1 tiny flea bite on one of the plate rims. These plates were manufactured in France in the early 1900s. Covered in pink and white apple blossoms, green leaves and ferns. 9 daubs of gold around the rim. The rim is slightly scalloped. Plates are stamped on the bottom with the Haviland decorator mark “p”, which was used in the early 1900s. Theodore Haviland Limoges France. There is a second stamp which reads: Manufactured for Dulin & Martin Co. Washington, DC. “From the 1930 edition of ‘The Book of Washington’, the Dulin & Martin Co. was apparently ‘Washington’s best house for China and glassware.’ President Woodrow Wilson and First Lady Edith Wilson, commissioned a new state service from Dulin & Martin Co. This state service was the first all-American effort. The China was designed by Dulin & Martin Co. from Washington, DC and made by Lenox China in New Jersey.” Dimensions: 6 1/4” (Diameter) Total Weight (2): 10.4 oz.
