Description
Here is a phenomenal sounding dreadnaught, amazing for finger style and equally amazing at strumming. Made in Bend, OR with an Adirondack top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides. Not a cheap guitar. These are now $3,700 new! These are made in the Breedlove factory, Tom Bedell is the owner of Breedlove, though they are not braced the same or sound the same as a Breedlove. Unfortunately it has finish blueing or blushing, whichever you prefer and repaired crack in the side. The crack is structurally sound. I chose to have a structural repair vs an aesthetically pleasing one. If the finish had no blush, I would have gone for an aesthetically pleasing repair, but I dig the wabi sabi and it tells a story. Specs are: Long scale 25.5” Adi over EIR with Honduran mahogany neck Koa binding Nut is 1.687” Ebony fretboard and bridge X-bracing like a Martin, no odd bridge doctor or strange bracing like a Breedlove. I have a few Martins, a few Gibsons and some old Harmony’s and such and this guitar can hold its own against any of them. It plays up the neck better than most. Set up at 7/64 and a hair over 5/64 Strings at saddle are just a hair under 1/2” with 5/32” saddle showing between the D and the G. Unfortunately I did not get the original case with it when I bought it, but I’m sure I have a case that will fit it.
