"The En Pointe Enterprises PortaBarre was developed in Canada by professional dancer David Lucas and his wife Lissette Salgado in 1999. Since then over 5,000 have been sold, mostly to professional companies. They have been specifically designed as a "knockdown and carry" system for easy transportation while retaining strength and stability. This is achieved through an internal double button locking system and high-grade lightweight aluminium construction. The barre is ideal for home use and is perfect for the dancer on the move.
