Description

Rare vintage FPU Bison vise. In newly restored condition. This vise is made by Bison machine tools in Poland circa 1950-70. Vise has 3" jaw width and opens 4 1/2". Low profile design that includes dovetail sliding rail with a very tight tolerance. There are 3 set screws for the gib to achieve maximum accuracy. The rear jaw moves while the front jaw stays stationary. It is very similar to vises made by Leinen and G. Boley in Germany. This FPU vise has cast steel construction throughout with 8" swivel base. Extremely well built and precise with very high tensile strength. It weighs 40 lbs and is one of the heaviest and smoothest operating vises.
