Lovely vintage clear pressed glass vase from the 1960's manufactured by the E.O. Brody Company of Cleveland, Ohio. Has beautifully flared lip & textured wheat stalk/basketweave pattern embossed on outside. 9.5" tall & weighing 2 pounds this large heavy vase is very versatile--ideal for delicate flowers or heavier big bouquets, even sunflowers. 4.75" across opening & 4.25" round base. The intricate pattern not usually seen with this type of glass at the time is perfectly etched & compatible with cottage, farm, or contemporary decor. Also brilliant enough to stand alone as a decorative piece. This durable and long-lasting quality vase has the "Brody Co." maker's mark on its bottom along with "19" & "C973" which will only help it to gain value over the years. As with any vintage item, there is minor age related wear from use--one tiny chip below vase lip at crease so almost impossible to see and one surface scratch.
