Description

Runs & Drives - 163k Miles - Trim Level: "S" - for "Sport." No dash lights. No engine codes. Tags current. Pink slip in hand. Salvage title. Passed smog check (on 5/6/26). It is in good condition. I bought this used a few years ago, and made improvements. It has excellent tires: Michelins in the front, Goodyears in the back- all with good tread. No oil leaks. Always passes smog. Has 3 keys, 2 of them are clicker remotes (built in). Has extended-life "Beam" style wiper blades. Was taken care of. No major mechanical issues. US Department of Energy estimates up to 34 mpg, highway. Why I bought it: Toyota has an excellent reputation for reliability, & the Corolla is a very reliable model. According to my research, this is one of the more reliable Corolla generation & years to get, and this car's 4 cylinder 1.8L engine (Model: 2ZR-FE) is more reliable than the comparable 6 cylinder model! So you are getting basically, "the best of the best of the best" in terms of reliability! So you can likely expect less issues & maintenance on this vehicle than you would on others. Why I'm selling: I bought a new work vehicle and don't need 2 cars- I was planning on keeping this vehicle long term before that though. I recently replaced the: -Struts (All 4 replaced with KYB brand, an excellent, reliable brand) -Hydraulic motor mount (I have the other 3 motor mount parts uninstalled, and will include them with the car. The only one that needed replacing is replaced.) -Tires -TPMS components in tires- the system functions as intended (This system lets you know when your tires are low- the batteries in the components I replaced last about 10 years) The good: -Had regular oil changes (Always used synthetic oil & extended life filters; is currently about half way through the current oil change) -It's zippy- has excellent overdrive pickup -Recent wheel alignment -Comes with phone mount on the dash (It's a really good one) -Comfy seats -OK for tall people (I'm 6', this car works for me.) The Bad: -Rear drivers side wheel is toe in, just a little out of spec. (The rear tow is not adjustable for Corollas in an alignment. I drove on it for years, and it does not seem to cause premature tire wear.) -The roof paint has blemishes in it- from me correcting the clearcoat (visible under certain light- see last image) -It eats a little oil (I found not enough to need to add oil between oil changes though) (Again, no oil leaks) -Speckles on front hood (see 2nd to last image) -Radio is sometimes finicky (but speakers have great sound) None of these issues make the vehicle unroadworthy or need to be fixed to drive it in my opinion. Sold as-is with disclosure. I can test this 2010 Toyota Corolla S with my scan tool and show you it has no codes and has not been reset- the tool can also measure if it will pass smog- which again, it does pass easily. This reliable vehicle is stylish, well maintained, and with it's current mileage, it will likely last you a good while. KBB value is now about $5,600, calculated by the car's VIN (see image). Priced @ $4,995 OBO for a quick sell, below KBB's lowest number on their range. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to see the car. Viewing available only in Altadena, CA. Payment: cash in hand only. (Larger bills will be checked for counterfeit.)
