These gloves have probably never been worn? They really look quite chic in person; the outer shell is a smooth supple vinyl, in that dim cream and kidney bean palette--luxurious like a 1970's variety show sponsored by Valium & co-hosted by a detective and a jewel thief. Filmed entirely by candlelight in an Austrian ski chalet which might be either haunted, or the faded hologram of a station wagon that slowly morphs into a starship. It would be much easier to convey their glossy deadpan elegance in photography if only I could find a living being to insert their hands in them, and then bend & rotate & otherwise move them around in a lifelike manner. But that brings us to the seething, writhing CAVEAT EMPTOR at the core of this whole gove story-- These gloves look pretty snappy, but they are so incredibly small. A tag declares them a boys' size medium. I mean, maybe? I asked a friend who's 5 year old (& only slightly chubby) to try them on But no could do. Remember how there was that movie about the Fantastic Mr. Fox or something? I could imagine him fitting, just barely, into these gloves (if i try really hard). But that's about it. But if you, or someone you care about, has disturbingly small hands and fingers, really getting these gloves will be the most beautiful thing that could ever happen in that poor soul's existence. Possibly the only beautiful thing. And see--they can zip open or closed, a little, via that slit near the cuff. Better yet, one has a little hook dangling from it, onto which you can hook the loop of the other.
