Charles Wysocki puzzle Love Letter from Laramie 1000 pc Milton Bradley 2007

From Milton Bradley, this is a Charles Wysocki Americana puzzle titled "Love Letter From Laramie". It is dated 2007 and numbered 04679-F05. The western-themed scene (a rarity for Wysocki) depicts a frontier woman leaning against her mailbox in front of an American flag, reading a letter while her horse and dog wait patiently. The vast, colorful desert landscape is filled with cacti and desert flowers, and a purple mountain range spans the horizon in the distance. The original painting was Wysocki's first "serious painting of this genre", created in response to his discovery that women had received little attention in western memorabilia and art. "Here's this western woman reading a love letter from her beau, and she's not forlorn or lonely or yearning," he said. "She's taking it in stride, and she's very independent. "Our heroine has a rifle, evidence that the West is still not the most hospitable area imaginable. She's apt to kill a few rattlesnakes, if she wants, or even fend off some marauding bandits if she needs to." This puzzle is rather hard to find now, as the popular "blue box" ones are becoming more rare. Puzzle has 1000 pieces and measures 22-9/32" X 25-9/16" when assembled. It is complete; I didn't work it but I did count the pieces (1008 are here, exactly the correct number for these "1000 piece" MB puzzles). Pieces are in beautiful condition, nice and glossy with clean edges. Box shows a little wear, has a few old bits of tape from being previously taped shut, and has a bit of a darkened area on the bottom (candle wax, I was told), but it's fully intact and the lid with the picture looks fine. This is a previously assembled puzzle. I am selling a number of puzzles that come primarily from my family's two vacation homes, where they have been well taken care of and are normally marked regarding any missing pieces. This puzzle has been designated as being complete, and I did count the pieces to verfiy, as I stated above.
