Vintage Northwest Pacific Coastal Indian sterling silver "Lovebirds" ring by EJT. A Tlingit chief of the Choo Ka Na Dee Clan. Born in Dundan Bay, Alaska in the parent's fishing camp. He was a fisherman, trapper and hunter all his life. He learned the art of carving totem poles from his father Jacob. His pieces have been collected since the 1940's by many well known dignitaries, including Mamie Eisenhower. Eagle and Raven, known as the lovebirds, are joined together in this adjustable sterling silver ring. The ring adjusts readily from about size 5 to size 10. The ring is from a collection of "Trade Bracelets and Rings" which were used for barter and other things and struck from dies made in the early 1900's. The ring comes as size 8" an is adjustable. 7/16" wide and weighs 3.5g . The ring has "EJT" “STERLING” and the maker's hallmark stamped inside and it has been tested and examined for purity and is sterling silver.
