Vintage Brass Bottle Opener

Description

This is a vintage brass and enamel collectible bottle opener from Israel. This is a rare, hard to find item. I have looked for it and cannot seem to locate it anywhere. This bottle opener features a design related to Israeli landmarks or Judaica. The designs are typically created using enamel inlay on heavy brass.
This particular bottle opener is decorated with green enamel and ornate designs featuring an embossed design of a menorah with seven candle holders and the Western Wall (Kotel) and the word "Israel" in Hebrew.
These openers were often manufactured by companies like Hein-Ami or Wainberg in Jerusalem These openers were commonly made in Israel, especially during the mid-20th century (around the 1960s). It serves as both a functional bottle opener and a piece of Judaica decor or a collectible item. It’s a great add to any collection , especially since it’s hard to find. This item is approximately 60 yrs old. When people find them, they hang on to them because of its rarity. This will make a very nice vintage gift. Great for : Jewish celebrations with gift-giving traditions include Purim (food/charity), Hanukkah (money/toys, influenced by Christmas), Rosh Hashanah (food, wine, hosts), and Passover (food/wine), with some families also exchanging gifts for Shavuot, focusing on learning/books. While Purim is the most traditional for gifts (especially food), modern Hanukkah gift-giving (gelt/toys) grew later, often alongside Christmas.
