The shadiest used car dealer I've ever seen, and I'm from Oceanside in the 80's so I remember Hill Street.

He's not an auto auction, that's the first lie, he only has a handful of cars and something is wrong with every one but when you ask him about them and on his AutoTrader ads he says they're flawless, that's the second lie, he says he has a bad memory which I don't doubt but he immediately told someone a car that I just told him had a broken door lock had nothing wrong with it so boom, 3rd lie.

I test drove a mini, a Veloster and a focus, check engine light and the engine acts up at 55mph, trunk won't open and bad headlamp, and door won't lock in that order.

His prices are high for damaged cars, private seller is better imo

I purchased a Honda Ridgeline. I very happy with the purchase. The staff was very accommodating and the vehicle was well priced.

This is just one of the many cars that Auto Auction of San Diego has. Great prices and the people that work there are awesome.

Horrible experience! Spoke over the phone re: a car and was assured the condition was great (understanding that I had to travel from a distance to view the vehicle). After test driving the vehicle, which was NOT in good running order, telling the employee about the issue and making an offer WELL within the posted asking price, I was told that the vehicle would now cost $500 MORE than the posted asking price, and that the vehicle was capable of being driven without needing work, even though it would not accelerate as it should when the pedal was down. Complete waste of time, and I was lied to before even driving the distance to view the vehicle. Do not give these people your money.

Honestly most shady experience I have been to at a car auction. Went with a friend looked under the hoods under a couple cars, a lot had oil damage near the engine. One car when I had turned it on you can smell engine burn through the air conditioning vents. I had noticed durning the bidding process, my friend had put a bid in. The gentleman was saying this person bid $100 more, my friend went to bid $100 above again. Apparently another person went to bid and I didn’t see a hand raised. My friend went for another hundred then he called it. The couple next to me caught on to what was going on, then decided to leave. This place is super shady and speaks bad about its competitors in Chula Vista selling lemons. The price value you have on your sheets are not even the same value as Kelly blue book. The car condition is worth way less. They try to hustle you keep that in mind. My friend bought a car that need an oil change, barely any gas in the tank almost left on empty, the passager window does not roll down. Avoid this place at all costs. Better off on offer up / Craigslist. Wouldn’t be shocked if the car fails smog after registration is up
