Description

This is a seriously cool old-school miter setup for anyone who appreciates vintage tools, woodworking, or solid American-made equipment. You’re getting a vintage Stanley cast-iron miter box with original wood bed, paired with a 24" Craftsman KROMEDGE back saw (Model 36186). Heavy, rugged, and built in the days when tools were made to last. 🔨 STANLEY MITER BOX • Genuine vintage Stanley cast-iron miter box • Original wood bed • Stamped quadrant with 1904 patent dates • Patents include 1-12-04, 3-2-04, 3-15-04 & 9-27-04 • Solid casting — no visible cracks or weld repairs • Guide posts and swing arm move smoothly 🪚 CRAFTSMAN KROMEDGE BACK SAW • Sears Craftsman Model 36186 • 24" blade / 11 TPI • Original wooden handle • Teeth are straight and appear to be in good condition CONDITION: Good vintage/user condition with the expected surface rust and patina from age. It has not been restored or painted over. The metal could be cleaned up beautifully, or leave it as-is for that authentic vintage-tool look. The miter box is heavy, solid and functional, and the adjustment mechanism operates smoothly. Great as a working woodworking tool, restoration project, or vintage tool display. 🎥 VIDEO INCLUDED — check it out to see the miter box and mechanism in action. These old Stanley miter boxes are getting harder to find, especially with the original wood bed and a period-style saw. 📍 Pickup in Seward Park, Seattle
