Very Unusual Antique Victorian 1920s Dark Walnut “Pocket” Frame: Just when I thought I’ve seen it all as a vintage/antiques dealer, along comes something that I’ve never seen before; a frame pocket. This is definitely pretty cool even though it’s definitely not practical in terms of hiding things of great importance. Someone will see the two chain hinges, open up the frame, and take what you put inside. So what really sells this item is the novelty of the item itself. It’s definitely unique and it’s definitely different. I can almost guarantee that if you get this, you’ll definitely be one of the few people that has something like this. The two metal flowers on the corners (I think) are supposed to create a kind of brake to keep the pocket from opening up but over the years it has warped a bit and shifted so the “lock”isn’t as secure as it once was. The print inside is questionable but again, it’s the frame itself that I’m offering. Besides, you can replace it with something that you prefer. The outer measurement is 18” x 15” and the inner is approximately 13.25 x 10.25. The few I found online started at $150 and went up from there. This is a literal steal at $85.
