I have taken this bike on 100 mile rides with no problems and used it to reliably commute 20 miles a day. With regular maintenance you will never have to replace this bike, and you will be able to keep up with high end riding groups in the area. I have taken a few hard falls on this bike and it holds up even if you eat it hard a few times (which will happen if you ride enough), you will see the scratches on the edges of the handles.
