Description

No longer needed due to switching to AT@t fiber. In normal conditions, the Xfinity Pro WiFi Extender simply functions as a signal extender in your home. When the Xfinity Gateway goes offline due to a network outage, the Pro WiFi Extender automatically connects to the LTE cellular network and begins to provide a backup internet connection to your home WiFi network (up to 30/7 Mbps). The optional Battery Backup will ensure you stay connected in the event of a power outage by providing up to four hours of power to the Pro WiFi Extender. Once the network outage has been resolved, and the broadband connection has been restored, the Gateway will come back online and automatically begin functioning as the primary source of connectivity again.
