1993 Honda CT70 (Mini Trail/Trail 70)

04-07-2020 Listing Date As much as I hate to do this, it’s time to sell our 1993 Honda CT70 (Mini Trail / Trail 70). It’s not often that I end up with something this unique and selling it is painful only because I know that I’ll never be able to replace it… This is as simple as a trial bike gets – it has a semi-automatic transmission with no clutch lever (3-speed with automatic clutch). Virtually anyone can ride this thing, even beginners. From what I can tell, I am the 3rd owner and virtually everything is 100% stock and original. Heck, the tires might even be original from what I can see. It is fully registered, insured, and plated (license plate) with clean title in-hand plus has all of the necessary turn signals, headlights, and brake lights to avoid being pulled over by the police. Yes – is it street legal and can be ridden on public roads. Additionally, I have the owner’s manual and registration paperwork from the original purchase tying back to a family in Fremont that I believe still lives at the same address. It’s been right here in the East Bay for 27 years since new. The VIN number corresponds to originally being sold in California – 8th digit is a “1” for California as opposed to a “0” for all the other states. This specific bike was 1 of 2 (a pair) that were matching, and my assumption based on the paperwork, they were owned by a brother and sister in Fremont. Eventually the 2nd owner bought the pair to goof around on with his buddies, but they ended up sitting inside a warehouse more than being ridden. I’ve owned this one for about 1-2 years but honestly it is one of 5 motorcycles that we own and is not being used at all. I’d love to see this go to someone who will appreciate it and ride it. Since owning it, I’ve checked the valves which did not need adjustment, changed the oil 3 times, replaced the air filter, and cleaned/rebuilt the carb plus did a lot of general cleaning and tidying up. This thing is in phenomenal unrestored condition...
