Recently got this in a trade and I’m not really vibing with it as I had hoped I would. Nothing wrong with the guitar at all, it sounds excellent. I just don’t find myself connecting with it as I do other guitars. The Black Phoenix is a Setzer Hot Rod version of the legendary White Falcon. This is a first year version of a somewhat rare gem. Full Nitrocellulose finish guitar, as opposed to the common Poly finishes on most modern Gretsches. Two TV Jones Classic pickups, 17” wide body and a full 25.5” scale. Some normal wear as it was previously owned by a touring, pro guitarist. Atkins arm is installed but the original flat bar is included as is the original HSC. $2,700 obo, if you wanna buy it outright. But trades/trade + cash ONLY for the following: Gretsch 6120 (nitro models preferred) Nash Teles, Strats or Jazzmasters Rickenbacker 330 (Jetglo or Fireglo) Gibson R7, R8 or R0 Gibson 335 Gibson Double Cut LP Junior Gibson SG (small pickguard models only) Fender AVRI Strat, Tele or Jazzmaster Handwired amps (50w or less) Not interested in pedals unless you have an original Univox Super-Fuzz (+cash)
