If I could give them -0 stars I would ! The cars were nice but the employees were HORRIBLE! They get you out your $300 deposit by putting your name under a car without you knowing if you don’t see a car you like.  I had to get the police involved!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE THEY DO NOT OFFER REGISTRATION OR TITLE FOR MOST CARS ! Their paperwork isn’t legit it got sent back to their store after trying to get tags ! THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND GIVE YOU LITTLE TO NO INFORMATION ABOUT THE CARS AND LET YOU SIT THERE WITH QUESTIONS THEY CANT OR REFUSE TO ANSWER…DO NOT SHOP HERE THEIR NOT LEGIT !!!

My wife spied this place when we were heading home from DMV. We wanted to buy 2 vehicles. One fror here to there, cheap, n 2nd one I wanted something safe n newer to use on long distances and or for delivery jobs. We planned on spending no more then $10k for both vehicles total. We ended up getting 2 decent vehicles from here for 2 great prices. The only thing is they charge a fee up to $475 plus if u don't bring a ton of cash (cause banks wanna be a pain about taking out that much) and use bank card, there's a 3% convenience fee!! Which on both vehicles came to additional almost $300! Then I read wrong n thought they were inspected! So I believe I still got an OK deal but I'll know better after inspection. I've had a friend look over both and I'm seeing probably another $1k in extra work on both vehicles.  I also noticed while here, I believe there were ppl bidding that worked for them which raised prices to where they wanted and if that's what they did I feel like that's not that right. Especially if they're not inspected! So once all said n done I feel like I'm not sure if I really got a great deal or if I got kinda taken advantage of. I do know I have 2 car friends that are always looking for places to get vehicles. They also told me that from what I told them, this place sounds like other auctions they've been too except some charge a bit more up front. The people were amazing there and very friendly. It was also weird cause I would hear the auctioneer (I think that's the person calling out peoples bids) start out at like $2k n go up to like $3-4k then they'd be back down under $2k going back up n I'd see what looked like people bidding n hear bids going up, then he'd say roll it out! Which I thought meant it wasn't sold! So I don't get some of what was going on. I'd like to get a bit more experienced cause it wasn't too bad and there were some vehicles that had I knew they were gonna roll away at $2k I'd have tried to grab at least 1 of them cause that was what I was looking for price wise on 1 of the vehicles. Both vehicles we did get, we got for under the Kelly blue book. My wife's by about $500 n mine by $2500! Which was awesome till the fees! Then that meant wife's was exact price and mine bout $1700 n that's b4 I get the inspection. Like I said I see about $1k so that's now only $700 under blue book n they are 2006 n 07!! 2-3yrs n they'll be 20yrs old! Then going on Saturday is probably ur best bet cause btt u are done Wed night all the tag places are closed or about to! It seems to me that this is a break even in the end between the convenience fees, registration fee, auction fee n having to go all over to get tags, title, then inspection, it's been definitely more work then just finding a private owned already inspected vehicle. The only reason I didn't go that route was cause at least around me there's a ton of vehicles for sale but so many are foreign and the communication barrier can be costly if something isn't clearly understood or stated. So in long run, I'd say I liked this place and would recommend.  However,  just do your due diligence and know what ur looking for beforehand and ask questions! They are easy to talk to and ask questions! I would have given this place 5 stars if they tagged, titled, taxes, n inspected all inside their building! To be able to know everything about ur vehicles and drive out that day Done, I'd have easily paid the fees and wrote an amazing review.  Just so much extra work when we are all struggling to find free time to spend with our family's and relax! Buying a car n getting it tagged n inspected, ready to actually drive for good shouldn't take up days of ur free time. Especially when time is money for us all!! I'm most likely going back in 1 and 2yrs after kids graduation to get them safe transportation.  But I'll be more prepaid next time!!

I've bought 3 cars from here, first car had minor issues after getting it checked out but didnt have to undergo a MD inspection because it went to another state that doesnt require inspection. The second car had rust under the car so severely to the Point that the mechanic worried about lifting it and would required a new frame, very expensive..i returned it and the suv I received needed a cv axle and ball joints, also expensive. The price is certainly right upfront,  but my experience is you will most likely need to do repairs that are financially significant. I strongly recommend taking a mechanic to throughly look over a vehicle you are considering.

Vehicle Public Auction business located in Essex, Maryland with a decent amount of Cars, Trucks, and SUV’s. They get new vehicle in DAILY. Offerings range from really old fixer uppers that could qualify for antique tags with the DMV to pretty nice, relatively newer Mercedes, Audis, Escalades, Lexus’, BMW and Infiniti’s and everything in between. Most of the nicer ones have a minimum that they won’t be able to go lower than or a reserve so-to-speak depending on the year, make/model and condition. But most bidding starts lower than the listed price. The listed price is just an average to give bidders an idea of the pricing the car should go at.
**You’re required to give a $300 deposit that day to participate in the bidding process, but it is completely refundable that same day should you not find anything you want to purchase. *Best to bring Cash for the deposit so you get it right back. **If you buy, there is an additional buyers or auction FEE that ranges from approximately $375 to $475 depending on the final bid price of the car you buy.
Auctions are held TWICE per week (Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings).
You are allowed into the auction lot approximately an hour and a half prior to the start of the auction to view vehicles. You are allowed to get in the vehicles, start them up, open the hood, and generally inspect the vehicles if you like. They try to ensure that the vehicles offered have no major mechanical issues like Engine or Transmission issues but good to have someone who knows a little about cars come with you unless you’re decently knowledgeable. Most have some minor or major cosmetic issues you’ll have to repair or fix up. Good place to find a first car for someone or if you’re just trying to find something reasonable and want to avoid a car payment and get on the road, but keep in mind the additional buyer’s fee and taxes you’ll have to pay on the vehicle as well. They do have a tag/ title section there on site that can assist you with temp tags and titling.

“Buy with Confidence” should mean “Buy with UNCERTAINTY” at Auto Bid Center!

After reassuring you during the auction they “guarantee” their engines and transmissions, you’re left high and dry!   After I picked up the vehicle I won, I immediately went to a mechanic to have the vehicle looked over.   To my astonishment, and most  troubling, they found METAL PARTICLES in the engine oil when changing it.  Additionally, the transmission cover had been removed and not replaced - making the spinning of the transmission viewable - something that should not be.   All in all, they came out with a 3-page inspection report of required and recommended work ($5,000+ of work).  One of the technicians standing by said he had never seen an inspection report that long!

I immediately took it back to Auto Bid Center  THINKING I’d be “taken care of” due to the “Buy with confidence” guarantee Greg sold me the car with. I quickly found out from Victor (shady character) and Greg that would NOT be the case.  Greg was now playing the “we only guarantee engine and transmission FAILURE.”  (So, that’s really no guarantee at all because if they had failed, you wouldn’t be able to drive it off the lot.)   Nevertheless, Greg agreed to have the car looked at by one of the shops they take the vehicle to.  As predicted - the shop “did not find failure.”

Even though there was a “buy with confidence” guarantee, I was stuck with the vehicle.  After a bit of a cooling off period and disputing the transaction with my bank, they offered to resell my vehicle (for $1000 less than I bought it for, of course).   And, of course, they ended up selling it for more.

If you’re going to do business with Auto Bid Center, I’d have these expectations:

- bring a mechanic with you to the auction that can look over the car then and there
- have no expectation of any kind of guarantee
- have NO confidence in any vehicle you buy from them
- staff is very unprofessional in person and via phone (return calls aren’t made, staff lies and tells you staff isn’t there when they are, etc.)
