Item: Antique Oval Serving Platter / Dish ​Manufacturer/Decorator: Haviland & Co. Limoges, France. (Both made and decorated by the main Haviland firm). ​Era: Late 19th Century (Circa 1870s - 1890s). ​Decoration: Elegant white porcelain with a luxurious heavy gold encrusted and beaded rim/border. ​Dimensions: Measures 11.75 inches long x 8.5 inches wide. ​Backmarks: Clearly stamped with both the green "Haviland France" and red "Decorated by Haviland & Co." factory marks. ​Condition Report: IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ ​Damage: There is a small chip located on the unglazed foot rim on the underside of the platter. This chip is documented in the photos and is not visible when the platter is resting right-side up. ​Gold Wear: The detailed gold trim is in excellent condition for its age, showing only very minor, expected surface wear. ​Surface: The main serving surface is free from cracks or significant scratches. ​This is a beautiful and authentic piece of French history from a desirable period of Haviland & Co.'s production. Priced according to the noted chip. Asking $44 obo.
