AutoNation has access to solid vehicles, but my overall experience was disappointing due to rigid pricing, weak communication, and poor follow-through.

I was told upfront that AutoNation uses a no-haggle pricing model, which in practice meant absolutely no flexibility. After extended discussions, the total movement on price was only $500, despite clear issues that should have warranted more consideration.

On the trade-in side, I was lowballed and then told to come back the next day to take the vehicle to a different shop so a mechanic could check codes. That follow-up never happened — no call, no coordination, no closure. Because of the delay and lack of communication, I ultimately had to go elsewhere , where I sold the truck instead. As a result, I lost the tax savings I would have received by trading it in, which was frustrating and avoidable.

There were also fix-it items discussed during the sales process that were never addressed, and to make matters worse, AutoNation would not accept my check, forcing me to put the entire transaction on a debit card — an unnecessary inconvenience for a major purchase.

Bottom line:
AutoNation may be capable of offering good vehicles, but the customer service experience was poor — inflexible pricing, weak coordination, and a lack of follow-through. I expected a more professional, collaborative experience from a large national dealer and did not receive it.

Jimmy Le was nothing short of amazing! He helped get me into the vehicle I wanted and didn’t try to pressure me into buying anything I didn’t want or sell me anything I didn’t need.
