It is highly recommended for use with floor standing speakers above 89 dB. Everything about the Beckman screams one of a kind. We start with hand selected rough cut lumber that we finish and cut to size, then my Dad (Jim Fisher) assembles each case completely by hand and custom fits each one with 1/4 inch polycarbonate. I then start the long build processes of assembling the circuitry with what I call “Pipe Dream Point to Point”. It takes a little longer, but the finished product outstanding; something your children will fight over and will a conversations piece for decades to come. I it's breaking my heart offering this once in a lifetime audiophile tube amplifier.. I got it in an estate auction in Atlanta Georgia. I contacted the CEO of Fisher Amps and sure enough he confirmed this was #9 of 75 he had made with his famous father. The build was all documented on the FisherAMPS Facebook page as well as the fisheramps web page. They do not make these amplifiers any longer. They are too labor intensive, they take way too long, and they are not cost effective to make, he cannot make money on them as they were mostly built to impress. He also told me that he remembers each one of these he built and who he built them for. He usually only built them to impress the higher ashelon of friends and people in the business. World famous musicians, buisinessmen and even the CEO of BOSE are the lucky owners of The Beckman 37. He told me that my particular amp #9 went to an elderly man that passed in 2020. He couldn't believe I won it in an auction. He was super excited to see it as he stopped making them over 10 years ago. He just does not have the time any longer to make them. Luckily he was located there in Atlanta!! He said the amps build was all documented on his Facebook page. He actually offered to pick the amp up and go thru it for me. He completely went thru it, and re-newed it as well as upgraded it with all the upgrades. He resanded it, repainted, everything to brand new. He told me to buy the tubes he recommended which I did and I have brand new in the box. He sent me the amp. I had only had a tube amp once before and it was the most incredible experience I had ever heard as the music lived and breathed like nothing I had ever heard before! I had traded a pair of rare diamonds earrings at the time and it was an investment that I couldn't afford to keep at the time! Unfortunately, it is not my time once again as I now live on a Yacht and it's not a place for such an amp 😩😩. I haven't even opened the box with the new amp inside he sent. I will leave that for the new owner. I have the new tubes never opened yet as well😅😊. The reviews that I have read say that you cannot find a better amplifier, period.
