Description

This is a beautiful handcrafted bike from hall of fame mountain biker Keith Bontrager. This was built prior to Treks purchase of the Bontrager brand. This bike was purchased in San Francisco in 1997 new from Start to Finish. I lived in Marin and rode the bike for about 1 year. The bike has been used infrequently since then. It was stored and my in-laws and I rode it 1 time a year until they moved to the PNW. The bike has some great features. Wishbone rear seat stays. Ritchey (Tom Ritchey) drop outs. Chris King headset. White Industries grease port cranks. The bike originally came with a suspension fork. I changed it to a ridgid fork. It’s a Tange made copy of a Fat Chance fork. I think it was Reynolds 851 steel tubing.
