I don’t even know how to start but here I go, I look on the internet for a VW Beetle, found it at this place filled out all the applications with the Bank and I was approved and there is Michael he asked me to fill another application with  Chicago Fine Motors and he will get back to me, never happened I’ve called him twice and all the time was telling me I’m busy  I’ll call you in 5 minutes. NO I’m not doing any business with them. People read all the reviews first before you decide to do business with them. I took the time to read the bad reviews and saved me from troubles. Thanks.

We purchased a 2013 Fiat 500EV from Chicago Fine Motors on 3/16/24. Within 3 days, we found out that the battery pack on our electric vehicle was completely damaged; this is essentially the engine of an electric car. The Fiat dealership informed me that it would cost $21,000 to replace the battery pack; way more than the car is worth and what we bought it for ($6k). While researching where to get a battery pack on our own, we found that the cheapest option is $12,000. Money we do not have. There was no level of empathy or understanding when we called Chicago Fine Motors to inform them of the fact that they sold us a useless car.

After reading the google reviews, it seems that they have done this with multiple customers and I am not going to go down quietly. Mike and Jose helped us purchase the car and now we have not heard back from them since we called on 3/19/24. Despite the fact that Jose told me he would call me back within the day. My husband and I have been calling and are now being told that Jose is unavailable and I am not able to be connected to a manager.

The Fiat dealership was very clear that the Chicago Fine Motors knew exactly what was wrong with the battery pack, which is why the price was so low and why they encouraged us not to get the warranty and to sign a "sell as is" contract. Now listen, Chicago Fine Motors might feel "protected" by the contract they had us sign, but let me be very clear -- they took advantage of a young couple looking to get another car in order to make money. A young couple who used some of the last of their savings in order to a car so that we could accept a higher paying job in the north suburbs (we put down a $3,000 down payment). In this capitalistic society, this is totally the norm and maybe some of you reading this might feel that we were in the wrong and that we shouldn't expect businesses to be moral. But for me, this is a clear exploitation of power and a withholding of important information that impacts the future of a family. Now, there's no way we can accept this new job and we're stuck with a $140 car payment for a car that isn't helpful to us.

Not only have we filed a report with the Department of Consumer affairs, the Fiat Dealership we took our car to is also filing a report. I have also contacted ABC 7 news and NBC news regarding our experience with this dealership. If management is not going to call me back and be decent people, I'll make sure our concerns are heard. I am sick of corporations impact the livelihood of people for the sake of making a buck. This is more than us getting a crappy car. I hope Chicago Fine Motors recognizes this.

I bought a SUV there, I was promised that everything is fine and works with the car , NO PROBLEMS . The day I drive it off I have an engine check light pop up. I inform the dealership and they tell me to bring it in and they will check it out. The catalytic converter needed to be replaced , they were not willing to cover it. Also the AC doesn’t work. They basically told me I bought the car as is!! Be careful with these SCAMMERS! They will lie to your face to secure a deal.

Do NOT purchase a vehicle from these people
I purchased a vehicle that turned out to have a massive rust issue causing me to shell out 2k a year later, on a supposed excellent condition vehicle. They could have been some what transparent that the vehicle needed replacements within 6 months of purchase but they sold me a problematic used vehicle at close to full price because it seemed to be in excellent condition. The sales man bribed me with $20 to leave them a good review, which I originally did but 1 year and a half later I am editing my review to the one they deserve. These people are unprofessional, sold me an unsafe vehicle and are not willing to do ANYTHING to make this right. If I could give zero stars I would.

I live in Ohio. Found vehicle online. I flew in and test drove. Was exactly as described. Transaction was smooth and efficient. Mark K was very attentive.  He checked in later to make sure my drive home was uneventful. Very satisfied. 5 stars.
