For sale is a set of gorgeous black Chinese arm chairs. Made in the classical Chinese chair shape with a boxy base and a curved back and arms, these chairs are of exceptional quality and craftsmanship. These chairs were crafted without the use of any nails or screws, using instead traditional wood joinery. Each chair features a carved relief on the splat, colored with gold leaf and pigment. Each chair is decorated with delicate hand carved wood filigree and painted black. The finish is if an antique patina that is often replicated, but these chairs are the real thing. The black paint has worn down in places, revealing a gorgeous glowing brown/gold underneath.
