  I strongly recommend purchasing the extended warranty if you buy a vehicle from Cartag. Unfortunately, I chose not to, based on assurances from the salesman, Eddie, that the truck I purchased was in excellent condition and free of issues. At the time of sale, there was no check engine light and the vehicle appeared capable of passing smog. Within 10 days of ownership, the check engine light came on. I brought the vehicle back and was told it was a minor issue. Two weeks later, the check engine light returned. I then took the truck to my own mechanic, who found seven diagnostic codes, primarily related to emissions. As a result, the vehicle will not pass smog. I am now left with a vehicle that is unreliable and unusable for its intended purpose. Given my circumstances as a mother needing dependable transportation, this situation has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I believe this vehicle should not have been sold in this condition. I am currently consulting with legal counsel to explore my options. My advice to others is to either purchase the offered warranty or consider buying elsewhere to avoid a similar experience
