History Stephen Wade is a first-generation dealer who got his start in the car business while working with a Sigma Chi fraternity brother (Robert Garff) selling cars. In 1975, Stephen became one of the youngest Mazda dealers in the country with a dealership located at 8th South and Main Street in Salt Lake City. Stephen moved to St. George in 1993 and opened Stephen Wade Honda/Mazda. Three years later in 1996 he opened an automotive Collision Center. He began growing Stephen Wade Auto Center in 2006 by opening Stephen Wade Nissan, in 2007 he added Chevrolet/Cadillac, in 2008 he purchased the Toyota franchise and in 2009 acquired Chrysler, JEEP, Dodge, RAM, FIAT. In the spring of 2016 he opened the first luxury brand known as Mercedes-Benz of St. George. The newest addition in 2018 is the purchase of Brent Brown Toyota in Orem, UT. Today Stephen Wade Auto Center has over 700 employees with plans to expand and grow the company.
